What Is Paint Correction?
Correcting Paint is a process where we use our machine polishers to shed a microscopic layer of clear coat off your vehicle in order to remove scratches, oxidation, and other imperfections. Doing so will also create an extremely shiny and smoother surface to your vehicles paint.
Before we polish anything, we have to fully detail the exterior of the vehicle so there are no contaminants stuck in the paint. This is a crucial part of any correction because we do not want anything to get stuck in our polishing pads. Polishing paint is something we absolutely require before any ceramic coating installation because the fresh layer of clear coat allows for the protection to bond properly

Is there such thing as perfect paint?
The short answer? No, definitely not. Perfect paint does not exist. You can get pretty close though. The closer you want the paint to be perfect, the more expensive your service will be. At Pristine Projects, we do a lot of what we call “One Step Corrections.” A one step paint correction is a more affordable service where we polish every panel of the vehicle to remove anywhere from 50%-65% of the swirls and scratches. In a lot of cases, if your vehicle is relatively newer, this one step correction can nearly perfect your paint. One step paint corrections are automatically included in every ceramic coating package to ensure there is a strong bond to the paint.
The pictures shown in this section are a perfect example of how paint will typically never end up being perfect. These photos below represent a “Two Stage Paint Correction” which is similar to the one step, except instead of polishing the entire vehicle one time, we polish it two separate times to achieve more correction. Even though the results are dramatically different, you can still see very minor blemishes under inspection lights.
